This is a presentation I made in my Introduction to Visual Communications class. The purpose of the presentation was to highlight existing issues with the Backpacker Magazine website (cluttered webpages, inconsistent tagging, and a confusing navigation system) and propose a new design for the website, leading to a more user-friendly site. The creation of this presentation required creative problem solving, an understanding of the Backpacker magazine audience, written communication skills, and visual communication skills.

I made the presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint.
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the reforestation of the Earth. For this assignment, we were required to choose a company and to create a variety of web advertisements for that company. This assignment required me to learn programs that I had never interacted with before. I needed to use my creativity as well as my visual communication skills in order to create a visually appealing ad.

During my Introduction to Visual Communications class, I was required to create a flyer and postcard for a Charity Water ball. While this assignment (like many before) also required me to utilize my creativity, Photoshop and Illustrator skills, and visual communication abilities, it was unique as it was the first time that I was required to utilize a style guide.

This presentation focused on finding a way to present a solution to a trucking company. I made the focus of this presentation on finding ways to be more environmentally conscious within a shipping company. This presentation required me to do research on green shipping practices, put together a visual communication tool, and find ways to creatively engage with the audience.

This presentation was on the difference between knowledge and information and the benefits of both. This project required visual and written communication. It required me to do a lot of audience analysis and problem-solving in order to make the difference clear to as many of the audience as possible.
